These animations were created for the Landsat Graphics Media Library, and are freely available for anyone to download or use in their own content.
They have been featured in a variety of Landsat social media posts and videos across the agency, helping to visually communicate the mission and impact of the Landsat mission.
These 3D models of the Landsat 1–3 and Landsat 4–5 satellites were created from scratch, as there were no pre-existing assets available for these missions.
It was a fun challenge to study clean room photos and archival imagery to accurately reconstruct the satellites. These models continue to be featured in various videos and short-form content across NASA.
